Kelsea Ballerini signed with Black River in 2013 and made country music history — the first woman in nearly a decade to take a debut single to #1 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart. Her first three singles all topped it, a first for any female country artist's debut album.
A decade on, the record stands: seven #1 singles, 40 RIAA certifications, six GRAMMY nominations — including Best Country Album for Rolling Up The Welcome Mat — and membership in the Grand Ole Opry. Her 2024 album PATTERNS debuted at #1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart.
